We’re the Stein Lowery family, and this site is the heartbeat of our dream—building a small family farm from the ground up. We’re not just growing vegetables and raising animals; we’re cultivating a lifestyle rooted in connection, creativity, and community.
🏡 Why We Started Semya.Farm
“Semya” means “family” in several Slavic languages—a word that perfectly captures the spirit behind everything we do. After decades in healthcare, imaging, and entrepreneurship (and yes, more than a few pets along the way), we felt a pull. A whisper that said, “It’s time to plant something real.”
We wanted a place where the pace was slower, the stars were brighter, and the food came from the land we could walk barefoot on.
📍 Our North Carolina Roots
Why North Carolina? Because it’s the sweet spot—literally and figuratively. It offers the perfect balance of climate, community, and charm. From the rich soil to the strong sense of neighborliness, we knew this was where our roots were meant to grow.
As of now, we’re preparing the land (hello, tractors and tick spray!), designing sustainable layouts, planning crops, and dreaming big. There’s a long journey ahead, and we’re bringing you along for every fence post, farmhouse wall, and wildflower we plant.
